Back in July, 1984, when 2D multi-slice, multi-echo first came out, Dr. Schnell at Broward NMR, (above) asked if I could come up with a way to angle the slices. At that point, all scans were in the 3 standard orientations. I originated the procedure using Euler angles for the first oblique slices (now called paraxials) through the lumbar disks, a protocol taught by Technicare applications for the following 2 years.
